Is the Vegetarian Paleo Diet the Healthiest Diet?

The vegetarian Paleo diet is described as one of the healthiest and most natural diets. It comes from the idea that prehistoric people lived a healthier life eating only natural and fresh foods.

A very long time ago, during the Paleolithic era, it seems that people ate better than we do now in modern times. They had no other choice than to eat 100% natural food without added chemicals. Some even ate foods completely raw without heat as fire was not always available. It is true that their life expectancy was 30-40 years, but certainly they did not die of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity or cancer. They typically died of starvation, disease deficiency, or were killed by animals, cold, or parasites.

The “Paleo Diet” is a new trend that first caught on in California. It involves a return to primitive man’s way of eating when it was based on lean meats, fruits, nuts and seeds, and vegetables. Meats on the plan include venison, poultry, beef, fresh fish, and seafood such as clams, shrimp, and calamari. Fruits allowed on the menu are numerous and consist of apples, pineapples, bananas, oranges, grapefruit, peaches and grapes. From vegetables you can choose those that can be eaten raw like carrots, turnips, tomatoes, greens and okra. Your nuts and seeds might contain almonds, pistachios, macadamia nuts, and pecans.

Obviously, you should not eat anything from the modern human diet on the Paleo plan including foods produced beyond the beginnings of agriculture or anything processed. These include grains (bread, pasta, and rice), legumes (beans, peas, and lentils), dairy products, fermented foods, potatoes, salt, oil, alcohol, fizzy drinks, or soy. If you want to follow the vegetarian Paleo diet all you have to do is eliminate meat from the list.

You can create tasty and healthy breakfasts, dinners or a healthy Paleo lunch without a lot of effort. Because spices and certain sauces are allowed on the plan, your creativity is only limited by your imagination. How about having some sauted onions and mushrooms over fresh greens? Perhaps you could stuff some peppers with diced mushrooms and garlic? Don’t forget the fruit for dessert! Berries, grilled pineapple, and sweet frozen grapes can make delicious alternatives to fattening cakes and pastries.

Why should I follow the vegetarian Paleo diet?

The Paleo plan is one of the most effective weight loss diets available while being unique and beneficial to the entire body. The association between the Paleo diet and weight loss occurred in the mid 70’s. Any diet that includes foods rich in nutrients, antioxidants, and are low in carbohydrates, fats, and unnatural sugars is going to help you to lose weight. But the Paleo program is not just about losing weight. It is truly a lifestyle that one has to embrace completely to get the full health benefits. Many gyms such as the popular CrossFit gyms found all across the country are encouraging the Paleo plan for their members.

Do you think the vegetarian Paleo diet is the right for you? Only by changing your menu, eating the allowed foods and mixing them with the help of your creativity can you obtain a healthy lifestyle and a fit body.

Vegetarian Paleo Diet

So you are a vegetarian and yet you are so intrigued with this Paleolithic diet, can you observe then a vegetarian paleo diet still? Vegetarian paleo diet is good for people who want to join the Paleo parade without eating a piece of meat at all.
Vegetarian paleo diet may seem ludicrous to those who think that paleo diet consists mostly of meat. Paleolithic diet is everywhere — and now the vegetarian paleo diet is making a statement as well.
Our body needs to eat in order for us to survive — and everybody also includes the non-eating meat people of this world. So why not create a vegetarian paleo diet plan to suit their lifestyle and beliefs?
Our bodies all over the centuries have been adapting to our environment in order to survive. Vegetarian paleo diet is here to welcome more followers that this diet does not mean to impose, but to accommodate and help everyone achieve a healthy body and lifestyle.
And since the caveman diet mainly consists of proteins from animals and not from legumes and beans, then this may seem to be a problem for vegetarians and vegans alike who love to eat their salads with tofu and bean sprouts.
Here are the options for paleo foods for vegetarians then:
You must eat a lot of eggs – so yes, this option is not for strict vegans. So you could eat as much as a dozen of eggs a day to be able to get enough protein and become a legitimate Paleo follower.
You must eat grain-like seeds in your foods for you to fit into the dieter profile. For the vegetarian paleolithic diet, to allow soaked and sprouted legumes and beans for the vegetarians’ sake is an order. So yes, you can still enjoy your meal of baked beans still, my friendno need to worry.
The vegetarian version of this scavenger diet is mainly compose of fruits, berries, nuts, seeds and of course, vegetables still (only that they cannot eat potatoes). And the nuts that should be eaten must not have any sugar or salt in them.

Vegetarian caveman diet will help fight diseases such as heart attack and will help prevent stroke. This also helps fight cancer and diabetes. And with the combination of going vegetarian and paleo, the health benefits it could bring to a person is priceless and everlasting.
Some people are having confused thoughts about eating meat and being healthy and not eating meat and being compassionate to animals. So the issue always lies between those two dilemmas.
If your aim is to become a healthy person, then you really need meat in your diet, right? But then you can always respect the beliefs and the faith of those who value the lives of animals.
The paleo diet does not in any way challenge the meatless people because the reason of incorporating vegetarian eating habits into a paleolithic diet in their book would be defeated, right?
So go and practice eating paleo foods that let you be compassionate while maintaining your strength, energy and healthy body on the side — eat only the vegetarian caveman way!
