Vegetarians/vegans, how would you feel if…?

adrina Asked: Vegetarians/vegans, how would you feel if…?

someone purposely hid meat in your food? just now my sister cooked me food, and she added chicken stock to it. i've never tasted it before. after the meal she confessed and laughed at me, she even showed me the stock container. i feel both mad at my sis and sick right now. after not eating meat for so long, the thought of what i ate makes me feel guilty with the need to barf.

i've accidentally eaten meat before, but i didnt react much since it was my fault anyway. but her feeding me meat intentionally is making me want to punch her.

Vegetarians: Are you aware that predation and meat eating have been around more than half a billion

Shemxu Asked: Vegetarians: Are you aware that predation and meat eating have been around more than half a billion

I completely understand being upset by the mistreatment of animals (I care about them more than I care about humans), but that doesn't negate the natural process, even when it's industrialized.

Okay my acne is getting progressively worse. Acne problems. I’m not really sure where to go from her

Dillon Asked: Okay my acne is getting progressively worse. Acne problems. I’m not really sure where to go from her

Okay so I used to have PERFECT skin that just glowed, with no acne or anything, and as soon as this summer hit my face just went downhill. I don't have insurance, so a dermatologist is a much avoided option for me right now. i've tried using h20+ products (cleanser and moisturizer and an overnight perfecting peel) didn't help anything at all. I started going outside and tanning which started to clear up my face super nice and give it a nice glow, but I live in las vegas and am super sensitive to the heat and now it's 108 degrees out all week, so that's ruled out. But my skin is just absolutely awful and I'm borderline on my way into a salon and asking the aesthetician to fix me lol. I still have a left over product from when i was like 14-15 called derma doctor ain't misbehavin from sephora, that cleared up my acne and some cera ve moisturizer from my dermatologist (when I had insurance). I started using that. My skin is just awful, there is acne everywhere. I may be freaking out, but I do realize that there is a solution and a way to fix it and I want to know and thought why not try this first. I realize it takes time. There's acne all over my chin and forehead and now starting to go all over my cheeks. I'm 18 years old, and also a model and I have to be in a Paul Mitchell hair show this month and i'd rather not worsen it with foundation and concealer, I exercise about 3 times a week, vegetarian, I eat super healthy (only drink water, eat salad, take a multi vitamin, eat cereal, vegetables, drink v8, eat salmon and nuts, grains). So it's just super un natural to me, being super healthy and seeing that is difficult. So if someone could recommend something that would be absolutely awesome! Also my skin type is sensitive, not dry or oily, just normal but sensitive, I do have a lot of allergies. Also I am on doxycycline hyclate right now, because I have epididymitis, a medicine that is used to clear up acne and my acne is getting worse on it. So anything is much appreciated, thanks for reading.

Vegan substitute for eggs & honey..?

happy chick Asked: Vegan substitute for eggs & honey..?

I've been vegetarian for a few months now, and I have really wanted to become fully vegan. The only problem I have is that I am recovering anorexia, and my mum is worried that if I become vegan it could lead to more unhealthy thoughts towards food, etc…
I want to become vegan for my own health, and I have also done research on slaughterhouses and the cruelty of animals. I don't want anything to do with animal cruelty. My mum has been giving me quite a lot of eggs on my recovery diet because of the protein, are there any other alternatives…?
I also really like honey on my toast in the morning, and I was wondering if there were any substitutes for that. Unless honey is vegan? But I didn't think it was…
Thanks in advance! 🙂

How can I go vegetarian without my parents realising?

Amara Asked: How can I go vegetarian without my parents realising?

I don't trust the meat they cook anymore just incase, and frankly, i feel really bad for those animals! I mean, their mothers give birth to them, and we just take them away, fatten them up, hem chop them up! How can i go vegetarian without my parents realising?

Isn’t vegetarianism harsher on animals than eating them?

sonicfan Asked: Isn’t vegetarianism harsher on animals than eating them?

If people don't eat meat, the money/ necessity for more animals to be bred will be lost. Although the animals won't be getting killed at a certain age, they never even get to be born at all. Assuming the animals are in good conditions and live a happy life, what's the ethical problem with meat eating that some vegetarians have?

New at this vegetarian thing?

Madi H Asked: New at this vegetarian thing?

Okay so, I'm transitioning to vegatarian (I cut off all land animals, and am slowly cutting off fish) and I'm not the most creative person when it comes to lunches and dinners that are simple and cheap. My mother and I have been arguing about this everyday because She has no idea what to cook me. So, I was wondering if you had websites, books, etc. Or just simple cheap vegatarian recipes. It is really appreciated. 🙂
